The ingredients used are based on the natural and agricultural products of each region. Therefore, people from different areas have different cuisine types, which can be bland, spicy, salty, sweet, or sour.

China’s regional cuisines can be described as follows:

Central China Food – Spicy Chicken Wings with a lot of seasonings

Recipe Ingredient

  • 1kg. chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp. white sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice wine
  • 1 tbsp. sesame oil
  • 3 tbsp. chili garlic sauce
  • 2 tbsp. garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Rinse and pat dry the chicken wings.
  2. In a bowl whisk together, rice wine, soy sauce, garlic, chili garlic sauce, sugar, then add to the chicken wings and toss to evenly coat.
  3. In a skillet heat oil, stir in the chicken wings, sauce, and water. Cover and cook the chicken wings for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove lid and continue cooking until the sauce has thickened for 10 minutes.
  5. Serve and sprinkle sesame seeds on top chicken wings.
