A Chinese meal is considered of two parts: staple food, normally made of rice, noodles or steamed buns, and vegetable and meat dishes. (This is different from Western meals. Which take meat or normal protein as main dish). Chinese people believe that except providing nutrition to the body, food can also cure disease. When you are not serious ill, you can cure your disease by eating the right food, only after the food doesn’t work, you may turn the medicine.

The Basic Ingredients of Chinese Chicken with Fried Rice 

1- Sesame oil: Has been used for centuries in Asian cuisine. It also has medicinal purposes, especially in Ayurvedic medicine, where it is used as base oil for about 90% of the herbal oils. Sesame oil is pressed from the tiny sesame seeds. There are numerous compounds and antioxidants within the sesame seed that are imparted into the oil.

Sesame oil contains a lot of copper and zinc, responsible for the production of red blood cells, which carry oxygen to the lungs and ultimately to all the tissues of the body. In addition to sesame oil is high in magnesium and also contains other nutrients that help with diabetes control. Studies have shown the benefits of sesame oil for people struggling with diabetes.

2- Soy sauce: Is a very flavorful ingredient made from fermented soybeans and wheat. It originated in China and has been used in cooking for over 1,000 years. The four basic ingredients in soy sauce are soybeans, wheat, salt and fermenting agents like mold or yeast.

Regional varieties of soy sauce my have varying amounts of these ingredients, resulting in different colors and flavors.

Caution: The high levels of salt in this sauce can also develop into a serious health at a later stage in life. So don’t mess with your health

Instructions

  1. In skillet heat oil over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and sauté until soft, and then add chicken and 2 tablespoons of soy sauce stir fry for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in carrots, celery, bell peppers, pea, black pepper and stir fry another 5 minutes. Then add rice and stir thoroughly.
  4. Stir in scrambled eggs and 1/4 cup soy sauce, heat through.
  5. Serve hot.
