Recipe Ingredient

  • 5 chicken breast halves, boneless
  • 20 spears fresh asparagus trimmed, or if desired
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp. dried thyme
  • Bread crumbs


  1. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees. Grease a baking dish.
  2. Place the chicken breasts and sprinkle pepper and thyme. Baking in the preheated oven until the chicken is cooked for 30 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile the chicken is baking, bring saucepan of lightly salted water to a boil, and simmer the asparagus spears until turns to bright green.
  4. Remove the asparagus and set aside.
  5. Mix the soup and milk in a bowl.
  6. Remove the chicken form the baking dish and set aside.
  7. Line the bottom of the dish with asparagus, arrange the chicken on top. Pour the soup mixture over the chicken.
  8. Sprinkle the top with bread crumbs.
  9. Put the chicken in oven and bake until the casserole is hot and bubbling for 25 minutes.
