The Basic Ingredients of Chicken Almond Recipe:
1- Marsala: This incredible aromatic wine comes from Marsala. Most Italian have a standard supply of Marsala wine. It comes in sweet and dry versions; always use sweet Marsala for cooking. Of the imported brands, Florio and Pellegrino, both produced in Marsala.
2- Almonds: Is ancient Indian practitioners even believed that almonds were capable of increasing brain capacity, longevity and help prevent heart disease. In addition to Almonds control blood sugar levels and prevent Diabetes.
3- Demi-glace: Is brown sauce, meat-flavored and a wonderful foundation for soups and sauces.
- 1/2 cup Olive Oil
- 6 chicken breasts, 12 halves
- 1 cup Marsala
- 1 1/2 cups sliced almonds, toasted
- 2 cups Demi-glace
- 1 cup water
- Salt and pepper
- Heat the oil in a large pan and dredge the chicken in flour.
- Fry the chicken breasts on each side for 3 minutes per side.
- Drain off the oil.
- Add the almonds and Marsala. Then add the demi-glace and water.
- Reduce the heat until the sauce thickens.
- Add salt and pepper.
