Baked Honey Chicken with Orange
Yield: 4 serving
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 60 Minutes
Level: Easy – Medium
1 medium chicken
Juice of 1 kg orange
4 tablespoons honey
3 leeks sliced
2 celery sticks sliced
2 carrots sliced
1 tablespoon grated ginger
Salt, pepper, bay leaves
Cardamoms, cloves, mastik
1- Mix orange juice with honey.
2- Soak chicken in this juice for a whole night.
3- Brown chicken evenly in butter then sauté the vegetables with it and the ginger.
4- Pour four cups of boiling water on top.
5- Add salt pepper and spices.
6- Allow simmering for half an hour.
7- Then put half marinade in pot and allow boiling once more till it cooked.
8- Take it out and allow cooling before cut to 4 pieces.
9- Put the chicken in oven dish and brush over other half of marinade.
10- Put in oven for 10 minutes to brown.
